Talk by B-52 Pilot was a draw.By: Ib LødsenSunday the 26th of April is a day which many interested in flying will long remember following their meeting with the American B-52 pilot Denver D. Robinson. Over 40 flying enthusiast found their way to Vandel Air Force Station's cafeteria where, without photos or other art, Denver entertained the very questioning public for two and a half hours with the fine assistance of translator Lars Fogh. However, Denver did speak some Danish now and then as his time in the United States Air Force was lively described. Most talked about was flying the B-52, his experience in the Vietnam War, and as an T-38 and B-52 Instructor Pilot. The presentation was spiced with stories told with the flyer's distinctive character. The public's desire to ask questions was so strong that the time planned was exceeded and we left hurridly as the Station's closing time rapidly approached. | ||
