Denver D. Robinson _______________________ (Month Day, Year)
Volunteer Guest Speaker I moved from the US to Denmark in October of 1994. I receive full retired pay from the United States Air Force (USAF) and in my free time I'd like to visit 8th grade (and higher) English classes. Such a visit is a good opportunity for your students to talk with an American, in English (see attached). With my education of a Masters of Science in Public Administration, Bachelors of Science in Industrial Design and as a USAF pilot (e.g. B-52), I have experience in more different postions than most and believe your students will find the visit interesting, entertaining and educational. At http://www.Texan.dk/danish/index.html you will find extra information, e.g. a comprehensive resume, newspaper and magizine articles about me, teachers' letters of evaluation/recommendation, and classroom resources in Danish and English. I will visit your school without payment--however, I require a letter (or email) from the hosting teacher on: (1) What did you think about the visit/discussion?; (2) Was it good for the pupils?; (3) How can it be better for the next classes?; and (4) Do you recommend that I visit other 8th grade (and higher) classes? Contact me via email (the address is in the web site's resume) and we will find a date and time for the visit. Note: My Danish is not as good as this letter (in Danish) indicates, because I had lots of help from my teachers.
Kind regards, 1. Atch: Morten Børup School's letter, dated November 25, 2001 |
