An example of a simple, but effective green barrier.

Here is a nice barrier of hedge.
But, it takes more maintenance and offers a place where little ones
can hide and jump out at just the wrong time!!

Just trees can also be beautiful. These are all on one side of the street.
This could work in Hosby, but I think offset left and right would be better.
Notice that these take very little maintenance and offer no place where children
(or pets) can be out of view of oncoming drivers.

This gentle weaving might be okay in Hosby, but I think we would also need to have a center line added.

These boxes with plants could look okay, but (again) they add a place where children
or pets can hide from drivers and then dart out into the street.

Another variation with trees. Notice that this design gives a bikes a path straight through,
without having to weave back and forth. Maybe a little wider and a horse could do the same.

Everyone who is afraid the bus will not come if we put
up a little S-turn entry need to see this.
Bus 103 drives through it many many times every day!
